Hm, have been seeing a lot of RO Filtered Water stations around Miri. They are all around, almost in every residential and commercial area. I asked my younger brother, is there people who buy water from the kiosks? He said yeah, like his teacher who live in a rented room and the owner doesn't install a water filter at water mains. The quality of water without filter in most area in Miri is bad for consumption. There are a lot of sedimentation.
I wonder are we getting use to the incompetency of our public amenities and services? If LAKU (Lembaga Air Kawasan Utara - the water corporation for Miri) doesn't care about the quality of water it delivers, then we resort to just buy water or buy water filter by ourselves? Isn't it LAKU suppose to make sure the water is potable at the hands of consumer?
I wonder. Maybe I should just invest in a company that sells water filters.
