Light Came Down Into Darkness

Some thoughts that I have been having:

After today's sermon, I was reminded of a song: "Light of the world, You step down into darkness."
He is the light of the world as He claimed in John 8:12: "I am the light of the world"

From darkness, God created the world, and the Word - Jesus Christ was there. God rested from creation but He is sustaining us, and nothing was created apart from Jesus Christ but all through Him. Though the world is fallen because of sin and we are separated from God, God still chooses to sustain us, but we could not know Him.

Without You how can I see? If not for Your revelation how can I know? My heart is full of things at times that I can't see clearly. You have reminded me again and again since the start of this year to not let anything distract me, to focus on You.

Men's concern is to preserve our lives on Earth. But Christian's life is a continuous journey. It is indeed a paradox that if we hold on then we lose our life, but if we lose our life for His sake then we gain.

You reminded me that I should seek first your kingdom and righteousness and those things that I need will be added to me (Matthew 6:33).

We are called to be His agents for social justice that is focused on God's love (Matthew 5:13-16); justice is not revenge but out of love we have - we have our own cross but we are new creation in Christ. Nothing else matters but God.

He brought me here and set me free. My vision will change over time but focus should always be on God. Step out of familiarity, and let God set my vision.

Christ is judge but Christ is judged for our sake. It is because of Him we have a life. We are empty glass, so be good steward of what we have, run to God and not build own 'safe tower'.

Let my heart beat for God and be still in storm. Don't be afraid. Make a difference one life at a time.

God is love. And Jesus said "I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (Matthew 8:12)
