139

It has been a while since I last wrote a blog entry. I would blame it on me started to work in an architecture job. Yes. I have an architecture job now!

I have worked for one month with an architect without pay. Those times were quite hard, as I have to juggle between four different jobs; one is the architecture job, one is kitchenhand (which pays me the most), one is laying carpet for Curtin stadium, and the last one is setting up IELTS venue. As I was about to give up on finding a paid architecture job, I have a chat with my cell leader. The experiences that he went through and how he stayed in faith really inspired me and so I posed myself a question: is it really God's will to let me study 5 years of architecture and not work in architectural field when I graduate (or at least when I am in Australia)? I know I have a calling to bring Christ's gospel into university, but in the long term I know I have a calling to serve in community back in Malaysia. So I prayed for God's directions.

Then my previous architectural job boss recommended me to an architectural design firm. The firm's director decides to pay me some pocket money so I decided to quite the kitchenhand job and free up my nights. For the first week that I was in the firm, I feel passionate about what I am doing because it challenges my mind and intellect, to solve some design problems and be around architects and designers really helped to create a conducive environment. I really thank God for this job and I will continue to work my best to help the firm as it has helped me.

It is 139th day of 2013. Here I am. I am never regretting any single day that I walk with God.
