Well. There are a couple of reasons. I shall attempt to show it as I understand them.
1. Illegal outflow of money causes MYR to weaken in world economy's perspective.
How does this work?Consider before any illegal outflow: *any amount quoted is for illustration only, not actual
National Gold Reserve has 1000kg Gold, and RM2000 is circulating in Malaysia and assuming no MYR out of Malaysia. So, for every RM1 it is worth 0.5kg Gold.
But, RM1000 is brought out through illegal outflow, thus to top up the alleged RM2000 in Malaysia, another RM1000 is released by Federal Government.
Now, National Gold Reserve still only has 1000kg Gold, and RM2000 is in Malaysia, but total of RM3000 is circulating in the world now. So, for every RM1 it is worth 0.33kg Gold.
And now MYR buying power is less. Why? Let's say you can buy a car with RM2000 before any illegal outflow, now you need RM3000 because the car's actual value didn't change but the value of the MYR you earn changes.
THAT's only part of the reason why we can afford less stuff although we worked more.
2. Alleged nepotism of our CM
I shall be careful in writing this part.
CMS Berhad controls most construction material in Sarawak. And see who is one of the directors here. If you still don't know him, see here.

SO. As long as corruptions remain, there won't be any proper development for Sarawak and our salary will remain as low as ever. How many illegal foreign workers are brought in and leads to a whole lot of other problems?
I am just doing my part. I am not a die-hard supporters for Pakatan Rakyat, but how long more do you want to give to the current party to corrupt and not give any chance for PR to do something? We are being threatened, cheated, withheld for 50 years. Is it not enough?
End poverty among the people, end corruption in government, end selfish ways of gaining personal wealth. For love of others, or the calling of your religion, it is time to change.
