One

How much the world has changed?

When everything was perfect, there weren’t any sorrow and anger, for there is no reason to be.

Yet, when sin entered the world, pride and anger pierced so much of our hearts, sorrow and sadness filled our days, war and crime started as we parted and separated, as we misunderstood when we spoke different languages;

as we forgot, we were one.

As we marveled at the sky, we want to find out what we have forgotten, and started on a journey. We are still on the journey, we thought we know, and the more we know, the more we realized, we do not know;

for we have forgotten.

We search, we make up our own reasons, we want to just fill this void with something, and we are desperate. The world now, filled with electrons buzzing about, yet we do not know where electrons are exactly. As the ambiguity is defined by quantum physics, our hearts’ desire still is unquantifiable. Where does this yearning for peace come from?

Maybe deep in our hearts, we believe we are one.
