Are You Asleep?

Stop debating whether that green sculpture in front of the Perth Train Station is ugly. I need to quote from Samuel Mockbee - "Love your neighbour as yourself...help those who aren't likely to help you in return, and do so even if nobody is watching." Shouldn't architects be thinking about that instead?

Man, are you asleep? Wake up and have a look at the world around you. Look further, do you read news? Even further, do you know what is happening around the world in the everyday lives of people around the world?

Remembered the wildly-shared China video Yue Yue dying and no one stopped to help? I ask, imagine you are living in a world full of deception, and you might get sued for 'causing' her to die, would you help without hesitating? When you blame or curse those who did not help, ask yourself.

Other than that, there are so many things happening around the world, as shared during the Asia Night of Converge - Commonwealth Prayer Initiative.

North Korea - Dictatorship causes famine
Sri Lanka - Civilians killed in civil war
Malaysia - Anti-Christian rallies, churches vandalised
Afghanistan - street children struggles to survive
Pakistan - flood
Congo - child soldiers

And this I got from reading news:
Thailand - Bangkok flood
Turkey - earthquake

There you are (and so am I), comfortably, sat in front of a PC/Mac/whatever i's you have, and with all the things that we have, we can probably do something to relief one or two of those who suffer isn't it? Human rights cannot be enforced internationally, and I am just advocating for the very very basic rights of life, safety, food, health, shelter, but even these are impossible to achieve. Why? Because the countries who signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights can ignore the letters sent by the committee, and countries like Malaysia, Singapore, China, and South Africa did not sign the declaration at all.

While Jesus is on Earth, He preached the Gospel, He healed the sick, He took care of those who have no ability to care for Him in return. What are we doing as Christians? Where is your heart?
