This evening I decided to head down to Australian Institute of Architects in Nedlands for a talk by Architects Without Frontier's David Anderson who did some community projects in Nepal. I knew I didn't managed to RSVP due to email glitch but I headed down anyway. Seeing his passion for the developing community, I was reminded of why I started to do my dissertation. It is about loving these community, to house them in low maintenance housing so they can spend money on essential things such as health care, food and education.
After that, I spent some time just taking a stroll along Swan River. The sky is so brightly lit that only the brightest stars are visible when compared to the night sky full of stars out in Guilderton or York. As I prayed for a clear mind and direction, I realised my mind is like the sky that is bright with light pollution, and the stars that show the direction are drown out. I was reminded through this verse, Matthew 22:37-40.
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

I used to search for a meaning for life, as I thought I am just a random accident, but through God I found my life. I am redeemed and so I decided to follow Him. My life is to love Him, and extend this love to my family, my friends including brothers- & sisters-in-Christ, and my community. There are times that I will be distracted or lost focus, but I pray that I will always honour this decision. My life is about love.
