Just watched the movie. A bit too fast-paced but guess it is to provide the necessary background information as to how the team was assembled to provide for potential future movie on The Avengers.
We don't have a Norse God of Trickery with a borrowed alien army invading our actual life everyday. We don't have a super-rich, funny and super-smart playboy with a power-suit. But we face life's many challengers every day.
I went for Bersih Rally Perth yesterday. It was peaceful, with cooperation of most of us and the Australian Federal Police overseeing, I was thankful that it went well despite drizzle and then rain in the end. Things weren't so good back in KL. There are a lot of fights and the streets were ravaged at the end of the rally with water cannons and lots of other things thrown around.
As I read on Facebook and watched videos of Youtube, I came to realise just how uncontrollable is an angry mob that is instigated by a small bunch of violent starters. Worse still, I felt deep and utter sadness over biased reviews and remarks.
I am a supporter of clean election. I know how it feels to be deprived of our legal rights to vote cleanly and to have independent checks. I know how the government-'controlled' media in my country works. But, to have the people's power and misuse it, to misguide it under wrong sentiment, to also misrepresent what the truth is for being angry at the government is like setting the Hulk loose. The big thing will ravage through any thing, and every thing.
We are not perfect. We do wrong. But we learn. We grow. And we do not stop.
My tears rolled for those gassed and drained with water cannon. My tears rolled for those who defended fellow protesters. But my heart is painful seeing those retaliated with more violent actions, more false accusations.
Am I alone?
