Today I learnt about the limits in life are not supposed to hold us back.
David, the greatest king in Israel's history, was not great in the beginning:
Jesse, his dad did not think he has potential to be a king 1Samuel 16:6-7
David's brothers did not think he has potential to be a warrior 1Samuel 17:28
King Saul did not think he has potential to be a champion to fight Goliath 1Samuel 17:32-33
Goliath did not think he has potential to be a worthy opponent 1Samuel 17:43-44
And yet, what happened? He defeated Goliath and brought Israel through the battle. For the Lord is with him!
The enemy - Goliath, is the conditions and everything that you think is holding you back. The enemy is always taunting us, distracting us, deterring us, and trying to make us disappointed and give up on our life's goals. We should just let all these insults just run off our backs.
No matter where you are from, how you grow up, how tall you are (ah hem...I am short...), you are unique. You have your unique experiences and you are here for the things that only you can achieve. When you overcome the limitations, you are overcoming for people around you; you are overcoming for the nation. God does not want any substitution, you are who He wants!
When we look up, although tears roll down as we face our difficulties, we will break through.
When we are limited by gravity, we have flown and conquered the air space.
When we are limited by depths of oceans, we have dived and visited the deepest ocean trenches.
Let's overcome the limitations others put on us.
For me, it maybe to promote equality by placing hope in Christ as laid out in Luke 3:7-14 and 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, as my beloved countrymen need to realise that everyone is entitled to good education and infrastructure. As Abba Father is always there for us, we have no excuses. Joshua 1:9, Exodus 4:10-17, Isaiah 41:10.
