Mid-Autumn Festival

It is my fourth year away from home, and my fourth year of celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival without family around me.

The day before Mid-Autumn Festival, I went shopping for groceries, because my fridge and pantry is basically empty from me being busy doing assignments over the past weeks. And, there I saw three familiar faces, haha, such a coincidence, as we wanted to meet up during tuition free week and I thought there is no more free time for the rest of the week! So we went to Northbridge to have lunch at Tak Chee House, but sadly it is not open...so instead we tried Cori Anna. The food is good, but price-wise especially certain stir-fry dishes is quite expensive as they do not include the price of rice.

On the way back to get my car, we went into a random Asian grocery store and there I found cheap mooncakes so I decided to try them, and they are nice!

On the night itself, I met up with my cell members and we had a simple dinner together before playing a "Continue-the-story" game. And this is the result: TOTALLY RANDOM man...

After that, we went for a walk around the neighbourhood in a chilly weather, the sky is clear and the moon is bright and round. Such nostalgic feeling, I used to do it every year with my younger siblings and we would join the neighbours' kids and just walk around chilling out, carrying our own lantern and watch the flame on the candles flickle as the lanterns move and it radiates a warm yellowish light that filters through the paper on lanterns. Our shadows become ghostly figures, and we just enjoy each other's company.

晴夜月圆圆月
万里系着那无尽的牵挂
黑暗中的一盏灯笼
因为相聚而更加明亮
让思念轻轻地
找个可以托付的地方
