The topic is not intended to be just that. Well, the world is cruel. After we work our heads off trying to get good results in our study days, we emerge from the cradle of suffering only to be in another cradle of cruelty. It is a world where hardwork is not necessarily appreciated, it is a world where what your name is may hold off you from a potential job, it is a world where you are being criticised or being discriminated against because of your social background. Lost hope, that is me after looking at how the world behaves, how the people treat us, and how hard it is to live on a shoe-string budget.
What hopes do we have? As I woke up in my friend's room because it was too late for me to drive home so I stayed the night, I was greeted with this thought in my mind; there are still angels out there, as I believe there is a God who takes care of us. One day, there maybe one that offered me a place to rest, another, a person who offered a meal for a hungry and penniless me. Yes, the world is cruel, but love is what sustains me. Love that is overflowing through all the angels that I have met, all the warmth of the hands that reached out and held this cold broken soul. Father, let me be one that reach out and be the little spark that start the flame of love, of warmth, of hope, and bring joy back to the hearts of the people who have lost their hope and their life.
